It was very cheekily "announced" today that Lady Gaga is indeed going to star in the next The Joker movie. There have been rumors that the next Joker movie - which no one necessarily thought needed to happen, but we will certainly all watch it - will star Lady Gaga AND it will be a musical. The internet laughed at these allegations...until today when Lady Gaga tweeted this:

So will it be a musical? Will Lady Gaga write original music for the film? What will the shocking popstar turned actress actually do in the movie?!
I'm not concerned that Lady Gaga won't do a good job. She absolutely will. If she has proven anything in the past few years it is that she is actually a very good actress. From her role as the vampire queen in American Horror Story to her leading role in the Oscar-nominated film A Star is Born, Lady Gaga can act her heart out. She takes her work seriously whether it is music or acting and she makes sure that we pay attention. How could we not? She's talented AND beautiful:
Gaga is undeniably talented and she is a force to reckon with. She also clearly has a playful side. Do you remember her early days on the red carpet when she would cover herself with stuffed animals or chunks of meat? She has a devilish sense of humor and she loves pushing boundaries. Doesn't that sound like someone else we know? Oh, I don't know, maybe THE JOKER!
Will Lady Gaga be a Harley Quinn type of character? Will she be a foil to The Joker? His love interest? His villain? His sidekick? I am game for any and all of those options. We have two years until we find out the answer. I know that I will be waiting with bated breath to hear more about what Lady Gaga and her musical prowess are about to add to this film.
Is this all a giant troll? Who cares? I actually love that, if so. It is super appropriate for The Joker if this entire film will almost be a prank on its viewers. Whatever the case, I have no doubt that Lady Gaga will be amazing. She might even go nude!
