PETA has announced that they will discontinue their ongoing campaign for ethical animal treatment that shows hot naked celebrities posing nude with the captain: "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur". It's a campaign that Mr. Skin can obviously get behind. Using skin to sell a charity? How could that possibly go wrong! Not only that but so many celebrities posted for this. Kathy Najimy, Melissa Etheridge, Wendy Williams - so many celebrities who would otherwise not go nude decided to take off their clothes for this good cause. Plus Skin favorites like Kim Basinger, Pamela Anderson, Eva Mendes, and Gillian Andersonall posed nude for PETA, too.

The campaign started in 1990 right before New York Fashion Week to continue to bring attention to stopping the use of fur in fashion. The first models? The Go-Gos! Posing nude for PETA was something celebs seemed to really get behind, but PETA has just decided to move on from the campaign. Fur is simply no longer popular, so there isn't much sense in continuing to advocate against it. The campaign actually worked. Sex really does sell! Of course, some of these stars who posed for PETA also kept their natural fur on in other projects.
