This 1988 film from visionary director Ken Russell is a strange one for sure. This is a loose and sexy adaptation of the 1911 Bram Stoker novel by the same name. Never heard of that book? Well, it's not as famous as Dracula, but it is definitely as creepy.
A young Hugh Grant stars as an archeologist who excavates the sight of a Scottish bed and breakfast run by a pair of perfectly sweet sisters. He finds an oddly shaped skull that looks sort of snake-like. This leads him to think it was a mythical snake humanoid creature from legends called the d'Ampton worm.
He soon learns that the legendary worm might actually be real! He meets a woman who lives nearby named Lady Sylvia Marsh. She is seductive and sexy and, as we find out, the immortal high priestess to an ancient snake god. You know the type. Naturally, Lady Sylvia has some evil bidding she wants to do for her snake god and that leads to some very sexy antics.
Who's the hoe? It's Amanda Donohoe. This sexy lady with short hair and a perky pair carries this movie on her bareback. She plays Lady Marsh and she gets undressed in a variety of scenes, including one where she finally gives movie tanning booths a good name. She rolls over nude in the tanning booth and speaks to a woman she is seducing in a low, sultry whisper. This snake queen makes it look easy!
Catherine Oxenberg from Dynasty also stars as one of the sisters that own that bed and breakfast. She becomes a damsel in distress after being captured by the snake priestess for a snake sacrifice. Again, totally normal usual things in a movie. You can tell she's supposed to be a good girl because this blonde beauty wears her white bra and panties.
Things get scaly in the movie with Amanda turning into her true snake-human form. It's definitely a strange creature feature that gets away with showing a lot of skin and even a shocking scene where Amanda sucks on a very long dildo.
If you've never seen this film, it's worth it for a strange 80s take on this Bram Stoker novel. Amanda Donohoe's three nude scenes also makes it very worth your time. She is sure to charm the snake in your pants!
