For today's Throwback Thursday, let's take a look at one of my favorite sensual scenes of the 1980s: Kathleen Turner in Crimes of Passion. The young, nubile Kathleen definitely brings the passion! If loving this scene is a crime, then I never want to be right.
1984's Crimes of Passion was a Ken Russell masterpiece and like other Ken Russell films, it pushed a lot of boundaries. It also utilized Kathleen Turner's sexuality which she introduced the world to in 1981's Body Heat. Body Heat was her first feature film and her nude debut, so Russell knew she'd have no problem exuding sensuality on screen. In fact, she was clearly a natural.
With her husky voice, blonde ambition, and puffy nipples Kathleen was clearly the perfect choice to play leading woman Joanna Crane. She played a fashion designer who lived a double life as a prostitute. She winds up getting involved with a P.I. who finds out the truth, but not without also finding out more about nude Kathleen.
The pair have a very hot and very 80s sex scene in which they are bathed in the glow of flickering neon light as he undresses her. Watch Kathleen bring the TITular passion for yourself:
