Anouk Aimée became well-known for her sharp features. She had a lean figure with long legs that allowed her to get interest from filmmakers around the world. While she starred in mostly French films, she did venture into America, England, Italy, Germany and Spain for film work. Some of those films became her most popular!
She was a global sensation, but she was forever French.Anouk Aimee was born in Paris, France as Nicole Francoise Florence Dreyfus. The young woman was born in the early 30s and quickly took to the entertainment industry. She made her feature film debut in Henri Calef's The House Under the Sea when she was only fourteen years old.
Anouk Aimée worked with some of the very best directors of the 20th century including Bernardo Bertolucci, Jacques Demy, and Robert Altman. She did some of her best-known work with Fellini. She starred in his film La Dolce Vita, but she teamed up with him again for a role in 8 1/2.
