There isn't much beloved character actress Lin Shaye hasn't done in front of a lens and she has been a familiar face for several decades now! This Detroit, Michigan born beauty and mega-talented actress went to school at U of M, then moved to NYC to get her Masters in acting at Columbia, but after graduating stayed in The Big Apple and launched an incredible film career dating back to the 1970s. To list some of her movies, you can go through and find Lin stacked up against the biggest stars of all time in every genre out there, Goin' South (1978), A Nightmare of Elm Street (1984), The Running Man (1987), Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (1993), and Corrina, Corrina (1994). She then teamed up with the Farrelly Brothers and became a comedic force in pretty much all of their movies, Dumb and Dumber (1994), being quite memorable as the "oral payment" accepting landlady of Woody Harrelson in Kingpin (1996), and the sun-baked neighbor in There's Something About Mary (1998). More recently she's been a leading lady in the Insidious (2010) horror franchise as Elise, went to the small screen with Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and played Ted Bundy's mom in Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman (2021). If you hop in your "Wayback Machine" though and land in 1975, you can see Lin's very first movie role which also marks her Nudecomer debut in the Academy Award Nominated period piece, Hester Street (1975) where she plays the seasoned sex worker who welcomes the lead into her apartment with her left breast on full display! Hopefully Lin keeps on being the mega-talent and beloved actress that we've come to know and look out for in projects and now you can say you've seen her young and with one boob out too!
