At only 18, with no prior training other than high-school productions, Iulia was cast in the lead role of The Girl in the movie Elevator(2008). With rave reviews, she decided acting was probably a good career choice, and she set out to earn her BA and MA in acting from the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. The dark-haired dish participated in numerous stage productions and short films while studying, and upon graduation, dove right back in front of the camera with the regular role of Tina in the TV series Pariu cu viata, aka Bet With Life, in 2013. American audiences might recognize her as a party girl in the multi-country film project The Zero Theorem, directed by Terry Gilliam (the Monty Python guy). The movie was shot in Bucharest, which is how Iulia got involved, and starred a shit-ton of famous faces like Christoph Waltz, Gwendoline Christie, Rupert Friend, Matt Damon, Lucas Hedges, and Tilda Swinton. She was also cast in the leading role of Lena in A Good Man (2014), a US flick starring Steven Segal that was also shot in Romania. But the movie you’re really interested in is Brancusi from Eternity (2014), in which Iulia plays Martha. Martha is an artist’s muse, and she poses naked for him. While there’s a lot of skin showing, we only catch glimpses of side boob and side butt—but it’s still pretty to look at.
