Today's film for Hippie Hotties is a 1970s film that is both scary and HOT. With three actresses who go nude, The Psycho Lover is definitely worth your time. These gorgeous 70s actresses will drive you crazy!

The Psycho Lover also goes by the more hippie-sounding name of The Loving Touch. Robert Vincent O'Neil wrote and directed this sexploitation flick. He worked primarily in sexploitation, writing and directing films from 1969 with his debut The Mighty Gorga all the way until 1993 when he wrote Jailbait.

The Psycho Lover departs from his other straight-up sexy films by infusing horror and the growing psychiatric industry of the time! This was a time when so many people on the coasts were talking about seeing their analysts as the newish field of psychology continued to grow throughout the 1960s. So, it's only natural that the plot of this film uses that to an exploitative degree.

The hypnotic tagline was "lock your doors tonight, Miss. Don't go out tonight, Miss." But of course, these babes go out and they go out with no clothes on which is why we were watching in the first place.

The plot in a nutshell follows a psychiatrist who wants to murder his abusive and alcoholic wife, so he uses hypnotism to brainwash one of his patients into doing it for him. Isn't that always the way! Advice to unhappily married folks out there: just get a divorce. Don't murder anyone and definitely don't hypnotize someone to do it for you! That being said, that kind of scheme makes for an entertaining skin flick.

He wants to leave his wife for his mistress, but he is too scared. Luckily, he gets a new patient who really hates women and prefers to violently pray on them. The perfect candidate to brainwash, the psychiatrist figures. He manipulates the guy and in the process we see a bunch of women go naked before meeting their untimely deaths.

Our crazy killer sadly kills blonde bombshell Diane Jones who looks exquisite and topless before the life flees from her eyes. The murder scene is rather long which lets us check out Diane's topless chest for a long time before the scene's end. At least it isn't a bloody scene, so we can really check out her clean rack!

You might remember the actress who plays his mistress, Elizabeth Plumb, as the sexy brunette lesbian in the 1970 romance Just the Two of Us. We previously enjoyed watching her strip naked and get busy with two different chicks in a blatantly sexual film that was really ahead of its time.

While not really being in the hippie mindset, this film feels like a definite product of its time. I'm talking patterned wallpapers, beaded curtains, and gorgeous chicks. It's the 70s and everyone looks and feels groovy.

There is a long, sensual sex scene with Elizabeth Plumb where Liz gets her face sucked from every possible angle. They bang in front of a fireplace while a ballad plays about how women are all we need. Now that's a retro lovemaking song!

There is also a far-out scene where the troubled patient has a dream where a scary woman played by Lynn Lyon in facepaint seduces him naked. I'm sorry, is she supposed to be scary? I'm too distracted by her big breasts to feel anything but pure horniness.

This film, like a lot of sexploitation flicks of the time, is largely forgotten. Honestly, the movie's visuals stand out from other sexploitation films like it because it is so heavily influenced by the drug films of the era like The Trip. From the music to the colors to the dream sequences, this movie isn't just about hot sex. It's a horror film that feels like a product of the hippie era.
