Today's director for Female Filmmakers is a blossoming Black director with a big future ahead of her. She is clearly talented and she is quickly becoming a leading voice in film horror. Her ability to capture gorgeous imagery as well as twisted horror is making her stand out in this new generation of horror filmmakers. Let's take a look at director Nikyatu Jusu!
Nikyatu Jusu is a really exciting new director on the scene! Sheis an American director with a Sierra Leonean heritage. She went to Duke University and continued on to NYU Tisch to earn her MFA in film.She began her career with short films that showed her affinity for horror. She is masterful and adept at scaring us - so much so that she was even invited to directan episode as part ofTwo Sentence Horror Stories.
In 2022 she released the twisted feature film, Nanny. This thriller starred the gorgeous Anna Diop as an immigrant from Senegal who has to take care of a 5-year-old on the Upper East Side. She is working hard to make enough money to bring her son into the country to live with her, but she is struggling with the family that she works for. As her struggles continue, she starts having nightmares that are influenced by African folklore. It feels like she is being warned of something...but what?
She shows her big juicy bongoes during a colorful cuddle session with her man in a post-coital embrace. This comes after we see her breast closeup as she straddles her man and slowly goes for a ride to some sensual beats in the background. Everything is hot in this scene - the lighting, the music, the model. Anna Diop's domes will make your pants drop!

Nikyatu is still enjoying the success of Nanny which premiered at Sundance to rave reviews. What will she do next? We will all have to wait and see, but I have very high hopes for this lovely lady. Her style and storytelling are clearly unique and she is making fascinating films from shorts to features. The best part? Her work is also very skintastic!
