The “pin-up model” can be dated back to the late 19th century when burlesque performers, dancers, and actresses would use photographs of themselves as business cards. Over time it became an art form and these beautiful ladies were everywhere. From newspapers to paintings to the side of airplanes, the pin-up girl was a symbol of beauty worldwide. And I think the pin-up model is about to have a big comeback thanks to Elle Fanning and her Instagram account.
Yes, I’m aware that the pin-up model never really went away. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of pin-up models in the world, but Elle Fanning is really making a strong case that they need to be back in the mainstream. We all hate going to the airport and/or flying, it’s not a fun experience. But how much better would it be if you were to arrive at your gate and see a painting of this Elle Fanning Instagram pic on the side the plane? That would be awesome. I think that’s a perk we can all get behind. We would all enjoy flying the Fanning skies.
Whether you enjoy the pin-up models of old or new, one thing we can all agree is on is that Elle Fanning striking a sexy pose on the beach is one pretty awesome sight. Also, I imagine this would look awesome on the nose of a plane.
