Dennis Hof is a busy guy. You catch that immediately with the way he talks: a non-stop rap about his place of business, Carson City's Moonlite Bunny Ranch, of which he is justifiably proud.

His words tumble out in a breathless surge. And while he's talking he's fielding several phone calls simultaneously. It's like watching a juggler spinning plates on an old Hollywood variety show. But he's doing things right and nothing's getting broken.

Under Hof's guidance, the Bunny Ranch has become the best-known legal brothel in these United States. And now, thanks in no small part to HBO's late-night series Cathouse, he's become America's Pimpmaster General.

Tell us about the new HBO series.
The first show we did on HBO called Cathouse was the highest-rated non-fiction show HBO's ever done. Imagine that: people wanting to know about sex. The next year we did a show and the ratings stayed the same. So HBO came to me and said, "What about we do an eleven-week series just like The Sopranos or Sex and the City?"

So I said, "Great! Let's do it."

Now we've got an eleven-week series with all the Bunnies and all the craziness that's happening--the porn stars that come to the Ranch.

What can we expect to see?
The first show is "What Men Want to Know". It's sort of like Dr. Ruth and porn. It's the girls showing a group of men how to find the G-spot. You can't go to AAA to get a road map on how to get there. But the Bunnies can teach you how. Then you're going to see the clients actually having sex with the girls.

The whole series is interesting. We'll have a lot of porn stars in the series. We have Christi Lake coming in and doing some crazy stuff. We've got Tabitha Stevens teaching a cocksucking class--she's America's dick sucker--she teaches the girls how to give head. Ron Jeremy will be in it, Johnny Buss from the Lakers, Raquel Devine, Jacklyn Lick is there putting on a toy show. Lots of porn stars, lots of sex, lots of crazy stuff.

Sounds like top-flight entertainment.
It's only at the Bunny Ranch. You know the Bunny Ranch is fifty years of hips, lips, and fingertips. It's a fifty-year social experiment.

Things are going stronger than ever. We've got something breaking here in the next month. We're doing an hour show for network news about the Bunny Ranch.

What the Bunny Ranch does is that in a time when there's a lot of confusion in the world, it makes some levity. It's fun, it's sex, it's America.

When can we tune in to see the show?
Cathouse. HBO, Thursday nights. We call it Bunny Ranch Thursdays on HBO. Every Thursday night at 11 PM. And, of course, it will repeat on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday also.

What's this we're hearing about you and a famous madam?
Talk about a match made in heaven or hell! Heidi Fleiss the Hollywood madam? And Dennis Hof, the owner of the world-famous Bunny Ranch? Can you imagine if we had kids? Oh, my God! What would that be like?

How did you two hook up?
Heidi and I met through Ron Jeremy. Heidi was wanting to get into the brothel business. Of course, I'm helping her by offering my advice as a free consultant.

I mean, how did you two "hook up"?
It's like she says, "You fuck who you're around." Her and I being around each other, it just happened. Now we're just hanging out and having a good time. She's a real bright, fun girl.

We have a lot in common. But it's so out of character for both of us. First of all, she only dates billionaires and actors. I'm not either. And I only date chicks that can't buy a drink legally. And she's not that. But we've been having a great time together, going to cool events together and traveling. It's been good.

We've heard that Heidi plans to open a premium-priced brothel. What's the deal?
When Heidi told me the minimum at her place was going to be $5,000, I thought, "This plan is flawed." I tried to tell her all the reasons why it wasn't going to work, and that I had raised the bar substantially. I brought in the porn stars, the Penthouse Pets, the Hustler centerfolds. That's what I bring to the people. I thought that I was at the upper end of the price range for sex. Now that I'm around Heidi and her clients, I realize that I'm not. What she's going to do, she's going to bring the guy the girl who was on the cover of last month's Seventeen magazine, or Vogue magazine this month. You want to have sex with Miss Alabama? She'll do it for you. She's not interested in the porn girls. That's not her deal. The girls that are totally unattainable? She makes them attainable.

Attainable if you happen to have $5,000 you're willing to part with.
If you have a minimum of $5,000. It goes up a lot more from there. But I'm happy to help her build Heidi Town in Nevada. I think that she's good for the business, that she brings awareness to the business. The best customers don't even know that prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada. Heidi will bring awareness to that fact just like I have. Heidi and Dennis. Who knows where it's going to go from here? It's going to be a wild ride!
