“This movie certainly has a lot of nerve,” she says, arching an eyebrow. “Oy. I hope that audiences are OK with all the nerve.” But in the end she felt the nudity was integral to who the characters are.
“These are people who have no trouble taking their clothes offin a way, their bodies are their currency,” she explains. “But they’re terrified of exposing their vulnerability, of becoming emotionally naked.”After baring her big front mountains in Brokeback Mountain, her new nudity in Love and Other Drugs marks the second movie in which we see Anne Hathaway naked opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.
