90210 Still Bringing the off Set Drama After All These Years

It may be 2008, but thanks to the CW's newest hit show, you may start to think you're actually living in 1990 all over again. The updated, hipped-up, sexed-up version of 90210 is only two weeks old, but it's already courting its share of controversy, just like its predecessor. But this time, instead of pregnancy scares and Shannen Doherty allegedly being an on-set bitch, it's parking-lot blowjobs and . . . Shannen Doherty allegedly being an on-set bitch. The more things change . . .

A source dished that Shannen is not exactly bosom buddies with her costars, including Shenae Grimes, pictured above:

“[Shenae] actually referred to Shannen as an ‘effin bitch’ and said from the first moment Shannen walked onto the set she’s been acting like she’s special... She then said that NOBODY can stand her!!”

Shenae also reportedly divulged:

"Shannen talks down to the costume designers and caterers like they're her servants and prances around the set like she's Hollywood royalty."

But a little femme-on-femme mudslinging is the least of the rookie show's problems, as the Parents Television Council is trying to convince advertisers to pull all support from the fledgling network over the opening episode's teen-on-teen pole-sucking scene. Reports the L.A. Times:

"The CW Network has openly, wantonly and eagerly violated every business tenet of the broadcast industry. They shocked viewers during the family hour by depicting high school children engaged in oral sex in their car," said the council's president, Tim Winter. "It's such a sucker punch to viewers and a lot of families. No one tuned into '90210' thinking, "Hey, maybe I will get to see [oral sex]."

Obviously the PTC isn't familiar with Mr. Skin's viewing habits! Also, is it wise for the purity-promoting organization to use the word "sucker" when they're trying to demonize the act of someone getting sucked off?
