Yup, we can see the resemblance too! Will Ferrell is in talks to play legendary skin flick director Russ Meyer in a new film about the making of 1970's Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.
According to Variety, Ferrell would play Meyer in Russ and Roger Go Beyond, a comedic film loosely based on the actual events that led to Meyer and film critic Roger Ebert collaborating on the Hall of Fame flick!
"The script is written by Christopher Cluess, whose credits include Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. It explores the relationship between Meyer and Ebert, who was starting out as a Chicago Sun-Times film critic when he agreed to write the script."
No word yet on who'll direct or who will play Ebert, but we'll be watching this story closely to see what develops, especially considering how much potential skin could be in it! I mean, just check out the original!
