When it first debuted, True Detective was one of our favorite series on Mr. Skin. There was good reason for that. There were actually two good reasons: Alexandra Daddario's left and right breasts. The series featured nudity and her nude scene in the pilot remains one of the best nude scenes that HBO has ever delivered. Well, True Detective is coming back and the newest season will star Jodie Foster. Here's what we can expect!
The latest season is called Night Country and is set to take place in Alaska. Since this is an anthology season, nothing needs to tie to the previous three seasons. In the latest edition, Foster is going to be joined by Fiona Shaw, Anna Lambe, Aka Niviana, and Isabella Star LaBlanc. Yes, the setting will be ice-cold. But with those babes involved? The screen is bound to get hot!
Jodie plays a detective investigating the disappearances of six men at a research station in Alaska. Not much else is known about the plot of this season other than the fact that Jodie Foster is helming it all as a tough-as-nails detective. The recent Nyad actor is used to playing tough characters. From playing a street walker in Taxi Driver to the iconic Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs, Jodie has always had a "don't try me" attitude on the big screen. That's one thing we love about her!
We also love True Detective. The plots are thick and the actors are fantastic. In 2014, the series debuted with a bang. We were all immersed in the mystery, the drama, the flatly circular nature of time. We were also all skincredibly interested in the breasts.
Ten years after its debut, the series is back and it sounds like it might be better than ever. First of all, this is Jodie's very first foray into prestige TV. That means that it had to be good to convince the lifelong movie star to grace the boob tube. That alone has my skinterest! I'd love to know what made Jodie Foster agree to be a badass TV detective.
Issa Lopez, the writer and director of the latest season, is a critically acclaimed Mexican director. She is also taking over as showrunner, making this the only season in which the show's creator Nic Pizzolatto is not intimately involved (he is still an executive producer, as is Barry Jenkins). In an interview with The AV Club, she promises spectacular acting - most notably from Ms. Foster whom she referred to as a "beast of an actor".
Well, I concur with that! Jodie Foster has always been a beast of an actor - as well as a BREAST of an actor. Will she go nude again? I doubt that she will take her clothes off in the Alaskan cold, but I'm holding out hope for the other actresses involved. Let's see if they give us clues as to what is underneath their clothes. Maybe they'll even make their clothes disappear!
