Trauma Therapy (2019) was a thriller directed by Tyler Graham Pavey and followed a self-help seminar at a wooded retreat that is run by a self-help guru. They are all trying to confront their past traumas and the demons that brought them all their as people searching for meaning in life. The program forces them all to really confront their personal issues, but as the therapy sessions get even wilder and deeper with lie detectors and drugs, they start wondering about these actual methods. Is the guru qualified and is he really helping any of them? They start to search for the truth: is he trying to help them in earnest or is he trying to control and destroy all of them?
