The 2015 Amazon docu-series The New Yorker Presents is a television version of the pretentious content of the famed titular magazine, a publication popular in the English department of most universities. Presented in a magazine form, the quirky series provides a grab bag of content that enlightens and entertains. From a short film that stars Alan Cumming as God, who delivers messages, mostly of the apocalyptic and judgmental kind, to his prophet (Brett Gellman). The next segment features an interview between Ariel Levy and Marina Abramovic, a famous performance artist. Lastly, there’s a feature on Tyron Hayes, an Harvard-educated amphibian expert that doesn’t fit the researcher mold. As you guys know by now, performance art usually turns up nudity, and Marina Abramovic doesn’t disappoint. She goes fully frontal during while getting all artsy. This is not your father’s New Yorker!
