The Gregory Hines Show

Gregory Hines was a supremely talented actor/dancer and, sadly, cancer took him way too early. One of the entertainer’s less-memorable projects was the self-titled, and short-lived, sitcom that began its run under the name Square One. It centered on a mild-mannered widower who dips a tentative toe back into the dating pool and the various friends and family members who helped him along the way. Alas, “along the way” proved to be just over fifteen episodes, so we can only hope Greg found himself some nookie before the show got axed. Considering the options on display, Mr. Hines had nearly 57 varieties to choose from! From the robust Robin Riker to the joyously jouncy Judith Shelton and the angelic Angelique Parry, this could have been called The Gregory’s Heinies Show!
