The Fortune (2021)

Based on a best-selling Spanish graphic novel El Tesoro del Cisne Negro by Paco Roca and Guillermo Corral, the limited series La Fortuna, or The Fortune, made its way to America courtesy of AMC in early 2022. The series, which is directed by Alejandro Amenábar (Open Your Eyes, The Others) follows a wet behind the ears diplomat by the name of Álex Ventura (Álvaro Mel) who is tasked by his government with leading an expedition to recover a legendary treasure. The only obstacle in his way is an adventurer by the name of Captain Frank Wild (Stanley Tucci), whose team has beat the government sponsored team to the treasure, changing their mission to one of recovery. It's going to be a race against time as Álex and his team of mostly inexperienced weekend warrior types attempt to track down one of the world's great adventurers and treasure hunters. American audiences are sure to be delighted by the presence of Tucci, but he's not the only American actor kicking around as The Wire's Clarke Peters and The Haunting of Bly Manor's T'Nia Miller are also along for the ride! Sadly there's no nudity in the series, though another familiar face does inject some sexiness into the show's fourth episode! Cable Girls breakout star Ana Polvorosa shows off her phenomenal physique in some sexy underwear in that episode, though she keeps her bra on for the brief sex scene that proceeds the shot of her in her undies! Think about what a Fortune this series could have been if Ana had gone the full monty!
