Tera's most recent venture is MistressCouture.com, her very own line of lingerie designed to keep a girl's curves in line and somewhat encased in lacy bits of nothing.
Let's start with your softcore work, which is celebrated in your profile on MrSkin.com. Any memories of that time you'd like to share?
It was really fun making those movies, and I loved working with all of my costars. Acting is fun and it's something that I still like to do. It's been a while since I've seen any of those movies. It's cool that people still watch those!
Were you a fan of porn before you became a porn star?
I was a bit of a fan. I watched some earlier porn movies-I wouldn't say that I was a huge fan and I didn't watch a lot of movies, but it was probably the regular amount that any girl would watch with her boyfriend. I don't remember having any favorite movies or favorite stars. I didn't know names back then!
If by some terribly unfair act of God I could only own one Tera Patrick movie, what should I shell out for?
I would probably have to say Reign of Tera. That's my favorite movie. It was my favorite movie to make and my favorite to do overall. I had a lot to do with that movie, and I had a hand in everything in that movie, from the hair, makeup, and wardrobe to the lighting and the sets.
I have just a lot of really good memories from being on the set of that movie. I had a great, memorable scene with Spyder Jonez in that-my favorite person to work with-and I think we had the highest level of Asian girls you could possibly put in an Asian movie and they were all my closest friends. It was like going to work and going to play at the same time.
Sounds awesome! Part of that play would be wearing that great new lingerie line of yours, Mistress Couture. What can you tell us about it?
I created the line this year, and I'm really excited that I did it. I have always wanted to design lingerie. It has always been a dream of mine. If I could describe it-it's a lot of hot pink and black, a lot of sexy vintage pin-up-style looks. It's just really hot, and I hope all my fans will check it out.
Did you have any particular inspirations for the line, or was it just looking in the mirror at your damn sexy self that made you create the undies?
I'm inspired by all kinds of things, from everything that I see in nature to pin-up girls like Bettie Page (Picture: 1) to Marilyn Monroe (Picture: 1) to Jane Russell. I had a lot of old glamorous movie stars and pin-up girls in mind. I love looking at the lingerie and things that they wore. I modeled a lot of things in the line after some of their clothes.
Very cool! Let's switch gears to your appearance in the very non-retro Blades of Glory. You appeared in that with Stormy Daniels and Will Ferrell-how was that experience?
Will Ferrell is very sweet, and he was very nice to work with. I had a great time with Stormy too. Will was so funny, and it was really great being on a mainstream movie set.
I had never done a big production before, and it was really cool being on a set with a lot of people and seeing how everything works. I have done some softcore movies and a few small parts in mainstream movies, but this was really cool to be on such a big set with such a big star. He was really comical, really funny, and really nice.
Another really funny thing you appeared in recently was an episode of the animated Cartoon Network series Aqua Teen Hunger Force. How did that come about?
They approached me and asked me to do it, and I'm a really big fan of the show. It's really funny because Stormy (Picture: 1) is a big fan of the show too, and she was like, "You were on my favorite show! How did you get on my favorite show?"
I played myself in the episode, and it was really fun to do a cartoon. It aired recently, but I didn't get to see it. I hope I get to see it soon. I've done some other animated things-I've been in a couple video games, and that's really fun to do. It's kind of inspirational for me because I have a teenage brother and sister, so they were proud of me.
What mainstream actress would you most like to do a sex scene with?
Oh, gosh, that's tough. She's not an actress-she's a supermodel. I'd have to say Gisele Bundchen or Alessandra Ambrosio. They are both Victoria's Secret models and they are both so stunning. I am in love with both of them. Or Marisa Miller (Picture: 1). Basically, all of the Victoria's Secret girls.
You'd have to switch them over to Mistress Couture.
That wouldn't be a problem for me at all.
I'm guessing they would probably work with you on that.
I hope so! There aren't a lot of actresses that I am attracted to, but I did say to TMZ that I would help set Britney [Spears]'s career straight if she would do a movie with me. Dave Navarro did a movie for me, so if Britney would direct and star in one of my movies, that would probably set her career straight.
We'd love to see that! What are your favorite sexy mainstream movies?
I really love old, classic movies-From Here to Eternity is a great movie. Even Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!-I'm a huge fan of Russ Meyer because I am a huge fan of girls with big boobs because I'm a boob and leg girl. I LOVED The Notorious Bettie Page-Gretchen Mol (Picture: 1) did such a great job. I thought that was an excellent movie.
Any mainstream Hollywood career role models?
I really admire Reese Witherspoon (Picture: 1). She is really confident and strong, and she has made some great movies. She has made some dumb but not bad movies, but she has really expanded her roles. She has gone from one end of the spectrum to the other. I really, really like her. And I love Nicole Kidman (Picture: 1). She is so beautiful and graceful, and I think she handles herself well. I think she handled herself like such a lady after the whole Tom Cruise thing. I think that some women could learn some class from watching her.
Speaking of classy, what's the latest from Teravision?
Dave Navarro directed Broken for me. It stars Sasha Grey, and Jenna Haze is in it. It's very artistic and Dave wanted the opportunity to direct a porn movie, and I think it's everybody's fantasy to do that. Everybody has an idea of what they want in their porn movie and what they want it to look like, and we gave him the artistic license to run free and do what he wanted. He came and approached us and said it was always something he had wanted to do, and we were looking for a celebrity director so that's how it came about. He did pretty good.
Let's wrap this up with your best advice on how to bang a hot broad like you. Any tips?
I would have to say just be confident. Confidence really, really attracts me to men. That's what attracted me to [husband] Evan Seinfeld, not just the fact that he's covered in tattoos and that I think that he's totally hot. I [like] a guy who can walk up to a woman and not be too cocky but just be confident. He's got to be interested in pursuing a woman. I think the shy guys never get anywhere.
