Hal Ashby brought the world Shampoo in 1975 that was supposedly loosely based/inspired by real Hollywood hairdressers Jay Sebring and Jon Peters. Shampoo was thevery of-the-time satire meant to skewer the free-love hippiedom in 1960s Hollywood. Warren Beatty starred as a hairdresser who happens to have sex with a lot of his high-powered female clients. He certainly had his pick of 70s sexpots!
