In the history of Hollywood, there may be no better origin story for a movie than that of Tammy and the T-Rex (1994). Essentially, the director of Mac and Me (1988), Stewart Raffill, was approached by a guy from South America with a giant animatronic T-Rex. He told Stewart he'll give him a million bucks and free use of the robot dinosaur if he can make the movie in the two weeks he planned to keep the robot in the USA. In a week, Stewart threw together a hairbrained plot, started an extremely rushed filming in the middle of some blazing wildfires taking over LA, and just happened to cast two young actors who would become some of the most iconic stars of the 90's and 2000's. When a high-schooler named Michael (Paul Walker) starts to get too close to the hot cheerleader Tammy (Denise Richards), her ex-boyfriend Billy (George Pilgrim) beats him up and puts him in a coma by throwing him into a lion’s den. To save his life, mad scientist Dr. Gunther Wachenstein (Terry Kiser) decides to put his brain inside of an animatronic T-Rex. It works, and Michael's brain is transferred into the T-Rex, who then escapes to pursue revenge against Billy and his friends, and to rekindle his romance with the sexy Tammy. The pair does their best to stay out of reach of the police and the mad scientist so that they can put his brain in a more fitting body, like a computer for instance. This one blew up on Youtube for a million reasons, like it's bonkers plot, hilarious production story, huge A-list leads, and even Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite (2004) briefly appearing as a pizza boy. We wish it went viral for some T-Rex sex, but Denise wasn't quite ready to get that wild yet. She does do a sensual striptease in white lingerie for Michael when his brain is put in the computer, prompting him to go haywire. Although she doesn’t get naked, this is still a bonerific and lengthy clip of early Denise before her Wild Things (1998) days. If you want an insane movie that became a beloved so bad it's good flick, this one's right on the money. But if you're looking for some Tammy and the T-Rex T&A, this one is going to disappoint you.
