Based on the 2015 Israeli series False Flag, Apple TV+'s Suspicion centers around the dangers of jumping to conclusions when it comes to solving a crime. In the opening minutes of the series, Leo Newman (Gerran Howell) disappears from a luxury hotel in New York City where he is staying with his mother, the powerful and influential PR maven Katherine Newman (Uma Thurman). Security cameras reveal that Leo was attacked by four masked individuals shortly before his disappearance and when the footage is leaked to social media, the police find themselves under intense pressure to capture the people responsible for the crime. It isn't long before the investigators round up their suspects, a quartet of British citizens that includes an assassin named Sean (Elyes Gabel), a financial manager named Natalie (Georgina Campbell), a university lecturer named Tara (Elizabeth Henstridge), and a cybersecurity expert named Aadesh (Kunal Nayyar). Despite them all having seemingly no connection to one another—other than all sharing British citizenship—they seem to tick off all the boxes for investigators. Of course, it can't possibly be that simple, not to mention it wouldn't make for a terribly interesting show, and as the series progresses and more secrets and lies are exposed, it's going to be difficult for anyone involved to ever return to a normal life. While we were excited by the prospect of Skin legend Uma Thurman starring in the show, her role doesn't exactly lend itself to many steamy situations. There is a sexy scene in the debut episode where Karen Hassan shows some great cleavage in a bra while having sex with a guy, but we're getting the sneaking Suspicion that this might be yet another Apple TV+ series with no female nudity!
