Staff Picks: South American Movies

Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover one of the best kinds of films to watch during the summer: South American movies.

It's actually Hispanic Heritage month - September 15 - October 15 - so I thought this would be the perfect time to start celebrating some hot Latinas and skintastic Hispanic films by taking a look at South American movies.

What counts as a South American movie? Well, a movie made in a South American country. That answers that question! These films are both critically acclaimed and filmed with sexiness. Celebrate South America with these Staff Picks:

White Elephant

This Argentinan film is about a Catholic priest who is coming back after a failed mission project in the jungle. He joins a friend in Buenos Aires to oversee the construction of a hospital, but while there he struggles to readjust to city life. Enter Martina Gusman who plays Luciana. She helps him, um, adjust. He's a priest. She's sexy. You can guess what happens from here in this spicy romantic drama!

City of God

This 2002 Brazilian classic focuses on a housing project in Brazil where the movie's narrator, named Rocket, takes us back to his childhood that was filled with violence due to gangs. We see what it was like to grow up with so much crime and violence and how they made time to also have fun in the sun (that means there are bikinis!).

Staff Picks: South American Movies

This movie was an international hit and that could be partially due to the sexy actress at the helms. Alice Braga stars and shows her breasts while Liz Padovani bares booty and breasts.

Only God Knows

Did you want more Alica Braga? Here you have it! This Brazilian film from 2006 introduces us to Braga as an art student who meets with a Mexican journalist after an incident in which she loses her passport. They fall for one another and give us a Brazilian-Mexican romance that really jumps borders - and continents!

Staff Picks: South American Movies

Braga delivers more nudity worth bragging about. Her T /or A can be admired in seven nude scenes that show us things only God knows. Well, now we know them, too!

Rosario Tijeras

If you wanted hot Colombian women, then this is the film for you! Rosario Tijeras takes place in 1989 Medellin (that's Colombia) where Flora Martinez plays a hitwoman who gets into some serious trouble. She definitely puts the ass in assassin!

Staff Picks: South American Movies

But I digress - she was recently betrayed on a job, so she takes matters into her own hands. She decides to become something of a vigilante getting revenge for herself and others who have been wronged by bad men. Things get complicated for our badass babe when she falls in love with a guy who might be sketchy himself. Can she actually find love in this criminal underbelly? Based on her seven nude scenes, I think she can!

Staff Picks: South American Movies

She is not the only naked lady in this movie. Lina Marcela Parra delivers a full-frontal scene that shows her buds and her rosebush. This will make your pants blossom!

Monos

Monos is a 2019 thriller from South America that feels like Lord of the Flies. This Colombian film takes us through a wild journey as eight teens do military training for something known only as The Organization.

Staff Picks: South American Movies

As part of their training, they have to take a hostage, but their own insecurities and in-fighting sabotage their mission. There is no nudity in Monos, but this film is really worth watching. That being said, actresses Karen Quintero and Julianne Nicholson get naked in the water when they go swimming with their friends.

Alice's House

This Brazilian film from director Chico Teixeira stars Carla Ribas as Alice, a married manicurist. She struggles to make ends meet for her family and lets off some steam by having an affair with the husband of one of her clients. Escandalo!

Staff Picks: South American Movies

Things get even more scandalous when she finds out that her hubby is stepping out on her, too. Well, two can play at that game! Her life becomes a living telenovela filled with secrets and sex. Oh, are you interested in the sex? The topless Carla has you covered...because she is uncovered!

The Hidden Face

Andres Baiz directed this Colombian horror film from 2011 that stars Clara Lago as the girlfriend of a busy orchestra conductor (there's a job you don't see in very many movies) who wants to test the limits of her boyfriend's fidelity. She starts spying on him in secret due to a room that he doesn't know about.

Staff Picks: South American Movies

The drama starts when he does cheat on her, but the curious Clara forgot the keys to get out of the room. Now she's stuck and forced to watch this new chick get naked with her boyfriend all over the place! She starts playing around as best as she can to "haunt" Martina Garcia.

Staff Picks: South American Movies

Trust me, you need to see Martina jump out of the shower when the water suddenly gets too hot. Do you want to know what's really hot? Her perky nipped breasts!
