Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover an exciting underrated region of filmmaking: Caribbean movies!
Admittedly, a lot of Caribbean countries either do not have the money or government support to make films OR they are owned by other governments. Regardless, several films have broken out of this tiny and sexy region and many of them have hot nude scenes.
Since it is Latina Heritage Month, I wanted to dip into some of these Latinas (not every Caribbean country counts as Hispanic, by the way) by showcasing this region. Check out these Caribbean cuties:
Four Seasons in Havana - Cuba
This Cuban crime drama gives us chills and thrills in the form of crime mysteries as well as breasts - lots of breasts. This is a mini-series that features a lot of passionate lovemaking because the detective trying to solve a murder gets very involved with the people he is investigating. A lot of women take off their clothes, including Juana Acosta whose perky pair is music to our eyes as she toplessly plays the sax.
Yudith Castillo may be my favorite sexpot in the film. Her big brown boobs are bursting out of her top as she gives her man a massage with her ta-ta's coming out of her dress. They have sex, so we get to see Yudith's booty as well. She looks great in all seasons!
Fragments of Love - Puerto Rico
This joint production brings Colombia and Puerto Rico together to show us a woman who remembers past lovers and affairs that she has had. That means that we get to see Angelica Blandon get banged and banged again. One of my favorite scenes in the movie is the one in which Angelica gets painted by her artist of a lover and they then have sex. Her body is a canvas AND a work of art!
We see Blandon's boobs, buns, and bush when she swims naked and gives the camera a very sexy look at her shorn nether region.
7:20 Once a Week - Dominican Republic
This Dominican film is super sexy as we focus on two people who meet for the first time and have a casual hookup. Their night together fills them with feelings and they want to do it again, so the pair decide to meet up once a week to carry on this affair. However, both of them are married and both of them have entire lives outside of these encounters that the lover knows nothing about.
Eva Arias plays the woman and she definitely is worth having a weekly sex appointment with. Eva Arias even puts sushi on her midsection and her man eats it off her body. Dinner is served...and Eva is dessert!
Dancehall Queen - Jamaica
There is no nudity in this 1997 Jamaican classic, but it takes place at a sexy dance club and we do see a lot of skin as leading lady Audrey Reid shakes what her mama gave her while wearing next to nothing. She puts on bras, panties, and tiny little outfits to dance onstage as she plays a single mother dancing in nightclubs to make a living.
Again, she is clothed...but hot damn is she sexy. She has a lot of suggestive dance moves that draw attention to her best assets.
Strawberry and Chocolate - Cuba
Let's end with another Cuban film and the only Cuban film to be nominated for an Oscar! This daring film is delightfully filled with sexual innuendos as a gay artist tries to evade persecution in Castro's regime, but he can't help his feelings for a man who seems like his polar opposite. One of them also has a relationship with a woman, but he ultimately rejects her advances. She is heartbroken as he pursues another man and a wild love triangle ensues!
The film focuses on friendships between people who seem like they shouldn't be friends. Do you know what helps friendships? Nudity! Marilyn Solaya leaves little to the imagination in her nude scenes that showcase her suck sacks. She's sweeter than strawberries and chocolate!
