My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009)

THE SKINNY: Roaring off the screen in three glorious, gory-ous dimensions, My Bloody Valentine 3-D rescues the identity of the beloved original 1981 psycho-killer classic of the same title, which was usurped by a Scottish indie-rock band in the ’90s. Let them eat haggis, and let this eye-popping, heart-stopping, in-your-face slash-bash forever after reaffirm the words My Bloody Valentine as existing in the domain of rip-roaring big-screen horror, where they have always rightly belonged. In the tradition of the first Bloody Valentine, the action here kicks off with Tom (Jensen Ackles) heading home on the tenth anniversary of the dreaded Valentine's Night Massacre, during which a mad miner went berserk with his pick-axe and 22 victims went bye-bye. When new bodies begin piling up, Tom is the main suspect, so he teams with his hot girlfriend Sarah Palmer (Jaime King) to prove his innocence and catch the real slayer. Along the way, beautiful Betsy Rue goes FFN in the miracle of 3-D. And that’s bloody magnificent.
Reflections of Light (1988)

THE SKINNY: Mario Bianchi’s erotic drama Reflections of Light is a steaming tale of Sapphic adultery reminiscent of Lady Chatterley’s Lover. At a luxurious countryside villa, Marta (Pamela Prati) grows frustrated by her inability to have amorous relations with her paralyzed husband. As a result, the young woman welcomes the advances of an eclectic cast of potential mates. The scorching Prati has rarely looked so radiant, and co-stars Laura Gemser and Jessica Moore do an admirable job keeping up by staying comfortably dressed down.
