“Each year on June 21st,” exults an Extreme Sports site, “skaters around the world celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity and spirit of our beloved sport by blowing off all our responsibilities and chores in order to go skateboarding. It’s called Go Skateboarding Day, and it’s the best day of the year!”

We’re turning cartwheels just thinking about it!

“Founded by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) on June 21, 2004, Go Skateboarding Day began with a few simple skate sessions and barbeques held in Southern California, the unofficial capital of skateboarding,” explains the event’s official site. “Since then it has grown into a worldwide holiday, celebrated by everyone from passionate skaters to those who are simply inspired by the sport.”

Gals were initially inspired by legend Patti McGee, who at age 19 became the first women’s skateboard champion in 1965—landing her on The Tonight Show and the cover of Life magazine {signed for the Sleuth below}.

The sport had originated in the 1950s when, in the words of Wikipedia, “Surfers in California wanted something to do when the waves were flat.” Hardly the case for this busty blonde making waves topless…but the danger of trying to stay upright on cement instead of surf tends to make sk8er girls more sleek and supple!

“No hill was too steep,” recalls Patti McGee of the ’60s craze she pioneered, “no parking lot too tall, no pavement safe; we couldn’t get enough.” She’s been dubbed ‘The First Betty’—defined by the Urban Dictionary as “a very hot and nice girl who typically hangs out around the skater crowd…once she’s turned on she gives the best sex of your life.” No wonder the First Betty’s board was called The Bun Buster!

“A 54-year-span in skating,” the still-active McGee smiles in 2016. “Who would have thought it would grow to what it is today.” Why, in just the span of a decade it grew from prim Patti (below left) to this stacked Seventies skating champ!

A second boost to the fledgling sport came when pop duo Jan Dean asked Beach Boy Brian Wilson to adapt his hit song Catch a Wave to capitalize on the land craze…and their 1964 hit Sidewalk Surfin’ was the result. Using the same melody, Brian’s new lyrics paid homage to Patti McGee’s board with some obvious sexual innuendo: “You’ll probably wipe out when you/First try to shoot the curve/Bust your buns, bust your buns now/Takin’ gas in a bush takes a lotta nerve” (below right).

“Naked Skateboarding is My New Favorite Sport!” headlined bisexual blogger Mia in February 2016. “Ya’ll know skaters are sexy as fuck…and it goes for both guys and girls!!!” Together, they soar to nude heights!

“They just have a special kind of toned bod that looks great in my bed!!!!” We’ll opt for the girls — night or day, outside or in, tanned or two-toned…

“And let’s not forget,” Mia maintains, “that their balance is so good they could try out any kind of acrobatic sex position without even blinking.” This chick looks positively laid back!

“Don’t worry!,” Mia concludes. “If you’re lucky enough you’ll find one of these Sk8er Girls to try on your own!” Brunette or blonde, you’ll never be board.

The street treat on the left is stunt performer Amanda Perlmutter, renamed Aiden Ashley as a girls-only porn star, who led a quartet of nude women onto the bowl for the most watched skateboarding tape ever, with many millions of views.

“There were a ton of emails and questions floating around after this popular video was posted,” recounts JerkEmMag.com, “mostly, who was the girl skating the bowl at the end? That would be Joanna Mahaffey, a college soccer national champ who “actually knows how to ride the bowl and she kills it.”

“They were looking for a model who could skate and was comfortable being naked and making out with chicks,” recalls Joanna. “A mutual friend told them I would probably be down. I love to perform and skating is my favorite.” Mahaffey muses: “I definitely made out with Aiden Ashley at some point, and {fellow blonde} Diana Diamond too.”

Joanna found Aiden a willing maiden…

…while Ashley and Diamond took things a step farther after the skateboard shoot!

“I would freaking love to be able to do loud backside disasters and long, clean smith grinds some day,” Mahaffey maintains, and indeed the sport’s lexicon inspires lust—featuring the nose slide, double grind, frontside trick, McTwist, hard flip, pipe, tail, shove-it, etc., all climaxing in a “pop.”

They don’t call it the ‘X Games’ for nothing… who wouldn’t pop when watching the only woman ever to win 3 X Games gold medals in a single year, Brazilian-born Leticia Bufoni?

When the #1 ranked women’s street skateboarder 4 years in a row posed for ESPN’s The Body Issue in 2015, Leticia recalls: “We tried to shoot something while I was doing a trick on my board. But skateboarding is hard to show naked because when you’re doing a trick, your legs are wide open and they can’t show that.”

Still, argues Coed.com, “There’s nothing sexier than a hot girl with a skateboard. Seeing a slammin’ girl with a deck ticks so many boxes.” Frontal and side boob? Check.

“Through the years,” Coed continues, “there have been many hot women who have been associated with boarding. From Farrah Fawcett in the ’70s {more—and less—on her a bit later} to the new sexy Kate Upton decks—slammin’ femmes and skateboarding are a perfect combo.”

One hardly thinks of the word “board” in relation to buxom supermodel Upton …

… but the babe can sKate (above) and her signature boards can surely handle the curves.

Last month Michigan-native Upton got engaged to Detroit Tigers pitching ace Justin Verlander…and she’s just one of many female celebrities who’ve taken up the street sport as a way of staying in shape. As Cooler Lifestyle puts it: “It’s a fact of life. Being good at skateboarding makes you instantly cooler. It’s a skill that instantly raises your awesome person points. Clearly, many celebrities are aware of this fact.”

None more so than Canadian composer and singer Avril Lavigne, who had the first street surfin’ themed song hit since Jan Dean with 2002’s Sk8er Boi—which went to No. 1 and, notes Wikipedia, “earned her reputation of a skater punk persona.” Hence the title of her follow-up live album Sk8er Girl {and the title of this blog}!

So who better to lead off Sleuth’s holiday tribute to sexy celebs who get all ‘touchy-wheelie’? For while the first females to take up the sport were derisively dubbed ‘skirtboarders,’ the current crop of ravishing riders are more aptly called, “Girls Pushing Wood.” Which is always good.

Supermodels and Skateboards seem to go hand in gland…as several of Elsa’s fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels have also lent their lithe and leggy bods for horny guys to stand on! “Seven Reasons to Reconsider Skateboarding,” was the title of a GQ article when the line debuted. Number one was: “Naked Girls.”

Now prized collector’s items, a group of five sold for $1,550 earlier this year.

So let’s conclude by saluting four of the hottest supermodels displayed on the boards … and in the buff!

Starting with the angelic 'Angel' from Poland, 34A-24-35 Anja Rubik:

“Why the hell have we only just seen these now?” griped Vice. “These decks from Swiss skateboard company DOODAH feature famous supermodels like Lara Stone and Abbey Lee Kershaw …

Abbey Lee Kershaw, 33B-24-34
