The dropping of all obscenity charges against American gigolo Richard Gere for his public embrace with Bollywood babe Shilpa Shetty at a 2007 AIDS awareness event reminded me of the sad fact that, like the vast majority of Indian actresses, Shilpa has never shed her sari on camera.
