It feels like every day for the past two years, there is a brand new Princess Diana project. I don't know what is going on exactly other than we seem to be living in a cultural moment where we are looking back at how we treated famous people in the 90s and 2000s and remembering that celebrities (especially famous women) are people, too.
And they are hot people. Since there have been so many Princess Diana projects as of late (literally 3-4 in the past two years), I wanted to highlight all of the sexy actresses who have played Lady Spencer. Here are some of the sexy actresses who have played her:
Emma Corrin plays Lady Diana Spencer in the incredibly popular, award-winning series The Crown. She was so wonderful in this series that she won an Emmy. We all fell in love with Emma and her gorgeous pokies.
Elizabeth Debicki will play Diana after Emma in the fifth and sixth seasons of The Crown. That means that we have that to look forward to. Will this version of Diana, undoubtedly more grown-up, go nude? We know that she will definitely wear that famous "revenge dress" that will hug all of her curves. Until then, we can look at her curves fully nude.
Serena Scott Thomas played her in the 1993 biopic Diana: Her True Story. This was written by Andrew Morton who also wrote Diana's biography with her help, so it is often considered the closest thing to Diana's real story from her point of view that we have. Serena did not go nude in that film, but she has gone nude in 1993's Harnessing Peacocks where she peacocked her pair.
Naomi Watts played Diana in 2013's Diana. The movie was not a box office smash, but Naomi looked a lot like Diana with her delicate features and blonde hair. While that was a great role for her, we always prefer her in Mulholland Dr. when she had her lesbian sex scene with Larua Harring.
Kristen Stewart joins the ranks as the latest young actress to play Diana. She stars in Spencer, a film that explores the moment when Diana realized that her marriage to the prince was not ideal. It's actually surprising how much like Diana Kristen looks in promotional photos. The film will be released this month, so we have some time to look forward to our next leading Lady Diana.
