Famed Star and Director Dies of Heart Failure

With the porn industry still mourning the loss of Gerard Damiano, the news broke yesterday that another legend had passed on: star and director Buck Adams, who died form complications for heart failure Tuesday afternoon Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles, with his daughter Christa, sister and fellow adult star Amber Lynn and his close friend Harold Jenkins in attendance.

Born Charles S. Allen, Buck started as a porn actor in 1984, following in the footsteps of his sister, with whom he appeared in dozens of films, including Amberella (1986) and Looking for Mr. Goodsex (1985).

Buck and Amber never revealed that they were bother and sister until a casting director tried to pair them in a scene.

In his early years, Buck worked alongside superstar John Holmes in movies like The Return of Johnny Wadd (1986) and Backdoor Romance (1984).

As a director, he helmed the acclaimed all-girl series Babewatch and big-budget 35mm Antigua Pictures feature Uninhibited starring Rocco Siffredi, which was nominated for an AVN Best Film award. He also directed softcore movies for cable TV like Major Rock.

Buck had long had heart problems, suffering several heart attacks in 1996 and a near-fatal one in 1999, after which he married his girlfriend, porn star Aspen Brock.

A former boxer, he struggled for years with addiction before getting and staying sober, after which he was able to concentrate on his professional life.

"I've made that niche for myself,” he explained, “I have a couple of things in my life now that mean more to me than anything. My daughter is my first love. Movies are my second love. I'm number three. I've come to the point where I'm starting to like myself."

Before his death, Buck has just completed a studio he planned to use for producing Internet content.

Mr Skin salutes Buck Adams and recommends that his fans pay their respects by revisiting the Babewatch series featuring softcore starlets Lauren Hays and Lorissa McComas.
