Over the Top

Over the Top was a sitcom that is most likely to hold the record for being “fastest show ever to be cancelled” since the fellas from ABC opted to do just that after only three episodes. One of the major reasons may have been the fact that all of the episodes had to be re-edited shortly before the series was to start, which delayed its premiere to October 1997. Apparently they wanted to improve Over the Top by leaving out certain characters and some of the thematic content... What a shame considering that the cast consisted of well-known actors like Tim Curry and Annie Potts (who also produced it) as well as Marla Sokoloff (from The Practice) in a supporting role. Nudity Report: None. While leading lady Annie Potts was briefly topless in the 1978 flick Corvette Summer, the lovely (and giant-breasted) Marla Sokoloff looked quite sexy in Whatever it Takes.
