Born in Leningrad before the fall of the Soviet Union,
Oksana Akinshina began her acting career at the age of 12 when she was cast as
the star of the crime thriller Syostry (2001), for which she won Best Actress
at the 2002 Bratislava International Film Festival. Since then Oksana has
appeared in the Swedish drama Lilja 4-ever (2002), which got her another armful
of awards, the American spy thriller The Bourne Supremacy (2004), and Russian
movies like Wolfhound (2007), Birds of Paradise ...
