As We Count Down to the 81st Annual Academy Awards on February 22nd, Mr Skin Pays Tribute to the Twenty Actresses Who Took Home Oscar Gold for Films in Which They Flashed Flesh

Famously deaf actress Marlee Matlin had to overcome a lot to make it in Hollywood, but to Mr Skin the most important thing she had to overcome was her clothing! In 1987 she took home the Oscar for Best Actress in Leading role thanks to her moving portrayal of a deaf student who resists the loving affection of her hearing teacher in the film adaptation of the award-winning play Children of a Lesser God. While Marlee let it all hang out for the role, acting-wise, she did hold on to some inhibitions in the film. During a skinny-dipping scene, a plump, bare ass is seen gliding through the water, along with a good amount of side boob. The only problem is, all evidence points to the use of a body double, marking the first time in history that an actress used such a fake out in an Oscar-winning role. Luckily Marlee's faux flesh didn't catch on, and the Academy was to reward real, un-doubled nudity in the future.
