She attended Van Nuys High School, and was part of the Performing Arts Magnet Program, already setting her sights on breaking into showbiz. She made her grand entrance as Julia in the film Soul Fire Rising (2009) with Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, then paid her dues as Jasmine on 90210 (2009), the rebooted series. Her first big movie was Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) with Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana, where Melissa can be seen on the big screen as a bar girl. She followed that film with the role of Rosie in Sex Tape (2014) with Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, and as a room service waitress in A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018) with Domhnall Gleason and Will Forte. Beyond the Beverly Hills ZIP code, Melissa also popped up on TV as Sofia in Death Valley in 2011, playing Candi in Melissa & Joey in 2012, as Alix in Sullivan & Son in 2014, and in Hawaii Five-O as Meka Lono in 2015.
