The beautiful brunette was an accomplished stage actress prior to being introduced to television audiences in an episode of the British crime drama Miss Scarlet and The Duke in 2020. The star of lauded British productions of After The End, The Crucible, and Blackbird also appeared in a 2020 episode of Vikings, and it must have been a great experience because she was brought back as a recurring character for the show’s sequel series Valhalla, which takes place one hundred years after the original. Maria plays Aelfwynn, one of Queen Emma’s ladies-in-waiting who’s the sister of an assassin and and the lover of the powerful Earl of Wessex, Godwin. The queen ends up imprisoning her and Aelfwynn is tortured to death, but not before being stripped down and showing a quick flash of sideboob before getting re-dressed. What are the chances there will be a third Vikings series so Maria and her mams can come back for that too?
