Maisie Williams became one of the most famous young actors on the planet for her role in Game of Thrones as the one and only Arya Stark. She grew up in front of our eyes as Arya whom she played for eight full years. In the final season of the show, she even took off her clothes because she was determined to lose her virginity. That was when we saw Maisie's amazing ass.
The big-eyed doll talked to British GQ recently about her role in Game of Thrones and everything that she has done since. Maisie did this interview while in her rural home because she left London to have peace and quiet in the country. She likes to go out and not be recognized as a celebrity and figure out for herself what she cares about when the cameras are turned off.
Maisie has become a very self-assured woman, but in the interview, she talks about the difficulty of growing up on camera the way she did. She talks about the day they handed her a bra in her dressing room. She frankly says: "I think that when I started becoming a woman, I resented Arya because I couldn’t express who I was becoming. And then I also resented my body, because it wasn’t aligned with the piece of me that the world celebrated.”
She talks about how she sadly does not miss the show. She enjoyed her time there, but she does not yearn to return to it. She might do a spinoff if it feels right, but she does not currently have an interest in doing so.
Maisie is currently doing something very different: she is starring in a Danny Boyle series about the Sex Pistols called Pistol where she plays a punk model named Jordan who worked with Vivienne Westwood. As a result, Maisie looks like a cool punk in her photos during this interview. The tough look really works on this adorable doll!
The cool thing about this series? There is nudity. According to Maisie, there is a lot of nudity. She was hesitant to do it at first because she did not want to be known as the "girl who'll take her top off". Boyle simmered her hesitations by reminding her that this character is a punk, so everything Jordan did was in defiance - even nudity. Maisie really liked the sounds of that!
So will we have nudity to look forward to in Pistol? It sure does sound like it! The show premieres on Disney+ this May (which raises my eyebrows when it comes to the nudity part, but we will see). I loved getting to know Maisie in this interview, but I can't wait to get to know her more in Pistol.
