Love Spells (2021)

The Spanish HBO Max series Love Spells debuted on the streaming service in the fall of 2021 and tells the story of Ana (Gabriela de la Garza) a woman on the verge of a mid-life crisis. The single mom has three kids all in the throes of puberty, a pair of ingrates for ex-husbands (Hugo Catálan and Juan Pablo Medina) who are constantly trying to bilk her out of more alimony, and a business that's on the brink of collapse after decades of unparalleled success. That's when she is let in on an old family secret, which is that her grandmother was once accused of being a witch because she—as was her birthright being born into this family—practiced a brand of centuries old Spanish magic that modern folk don't know anything about. With nothing left to lose, Ana decides that maybe it's time to step up and inherit that long dormant family tradition, trading in her life of chaos for one that she wields complete control over. After all, when you're dealing with centuries old black magic, what's the absolute worst that could happen? Well, we can tell you that this is a worst case scenario type of deal for skin fanatics as this series has plenty of opportunities to get some skin in the game and fumbles the ball at every single one of them! Episode five does bring some sensational cleavage from Ana Gonzalez Bello in some sexy black undies, while five episodes later we get a look at Veronica Toussaint in her bra, but that's it. This show really could've used some of Mr. Skin's favorite brand of magic... Whack magic!
