And Charlotte Gainsbourg will show at least three of them. Because "the erotic life of a woman from the age of zero to age 50" is just too good to contain in one two-hour movie, producer Peter Aalbk Jensen (no idea how to pronounce that, by the way) has announced that Lars Von Trier's upcoming movie Nymphomaniac is going to be released in two parts, both of them coming in two versions: softcore and hardcore.
Gainsbourg has only agreed to star in the softcore version of both films, with a body double performing hardcore inserts (ooh, how '70s) like Mandy Starship did in Von Trier's movie Antichrist (2009). But if you've seen Antichrist, particularly the scene where she furiously masturbates at the foot of a tree completely nude, you know that Charlotte ain't no shrinking violet. Jensen says:
“We will probably blur the central points of the human body for the release worldwide but we will probably make one unblurred that will be for screening maybe in Cannes.”
