Acting teachers often advise nervous students to picture their audience naked. With Jocelyn Jones, actress and now acting teacher extraordinaire, her students don’t really have to use their imagination all that much. Though she’s more of an instructor these days, running her own series of classes under The Jocelyn Jones Studio, the blonde-haired, bright-eyed, lean-bodied babe started out on the other side of the camera. Her dad was famous character actor Henry Jones, and Jocelyn went to work with him one day to earn her first acting credit at the age of 12 in an episode of The Defenders TV series. She grew up on the Hudson River, just north of Manhattan, and has performed on stage in both New York City and Los Angeles. After doing the rounds on numerous TV shows, she made her big-screen debut as Linda Meyers in The Other Side of the Mountain(1975), starring Beau Bridges. Her next role was as Ellie-Jo Turner in The Great Texas Dynamite Chase(1976), a cult favorite in which her svelte frame is enhanced with tiny bikini panties, a belly chain, and a perky pair of breasts. One of Jocelyn’s most famous roles was Miki in The Enforcer (1976), starring Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. You might also remember her as Molly in Tourist Trap (1979) with Chuck Connors, or in her later career years, as Mrs. Tooley in Nowhere to Run (1989) with Jason Priestley (aka Brandon Walsh). What you won’t recognize her from is any of her “Creative Consultant” gigs for script doctoring, which she’s allegedly done for some pretty big stars and movies—all quite confidentially, of course.
