Today is the UK premiere of the Jackie Van Beek and Armagan Ballantyne film Nude Tuesday, about a Nordic-seeming couple who go to a new age retreat to save their marriage. The delightful orgy comedy is actually from New Zealand/Australia and the language spoken in it is complete gibberish. It turns out the subtitles for it were actually written by funnywoman Julia Davis, best known to Skin fans for her BAFTA-winning lesbian comedy Sally4Ever.
Writer and star Van Beek also shows some skin in The Breaker Upperers, which she helmed in 2018. It was that movie that made Julia a fan and want to collaborate, and we’re glad they did!
