Can You Remake The Magic Of Joey Lauren Adams Topless On A TV Show?
It has been a while since we have heard from Kevin Smith. While some people may say that’s a good thing, for me I don’t mind his films, though I would call them hit or miss. Now it seems that Kevin Smith might moving towards television and bringing an old idea with him: Mallrats.
I wasn’t aware that Kevin Smith attempted to make a sequel to Mallrats, but apparently he had a script and was ready to go, but he ran into some trouble with Universal and wasn’t actually allowed to make the film. Of course, he went on to do some others, both acting and directing, but recently found himself behind the camera directing an episode of The Flash. He seemed to enjoy it and is now looking to turn Mallrats into a 10-episode series. I’m not sure if it will work, but I do believe that for Mallrats to work it would need to be on a cable or streaming service. From what I remember, Miss Ivannah’s three nipples and Joey Lauren Adams topless, without those elements it would just be people at mall talking. That isn’t that interesting. Hopefully Kevin Smith isn’t looking to “lighten” it up for basic cable and he will keep the elements of the original film, like the nudity, for the television series.
Also, I feel the need to point out Claire Forlani was in Mallrats. I remember watching the movie and hoping to see her trying on underwear in the middle of a store. Sadly, that didn’t happen. But maybe Claire Forlani’s character can come back.
