Now that we've gotten acquainted with the four actresses who will be bringing the characters of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower to life (for now) on House Of The Dragon, it's time to compare and contrast all of these beauties! In case you aren't watching the show, the twenty-two-year-old Australian actress Milly Alcock originated the role of Rhaenyra, but handed over the reins to Emma D’Arcy after the plot jumped ten years into the future in episode six.

The same goes for Emily Carey. The nineteen-year-old brunette originated the role of Alicent Hightower, which will be played by Olivia Cooke moving forward. Of these four actresses, Milly Alcock has by far gotten the most Game Of Thrones-y on House Of The Dragon. In fact she's the only one of the four to show any skin at all. Didn't they watch the original series? This isn't how it's supposed to go!
In a recent interview, House Of The Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal explained that the older versions of the characters were cast before the younger ones. He wanted actresses straight out of acting school who resembled their older counterparts. We think he did a pretty good damn job at matching up their looks! The younger actresses observed the older ones on set and exchanged phone numbers in case they needed any advice on playing the same characters believably. If you caught episode six, you know that all four actresses did a fantastic job!
