“Did you know that there is a special date set aside for Skyscrapers?” asks Traveling the World.com. National Skyscraper Day or, simply, Skyscraper Day is celebrated to give special appreciation for the visibly tall buildings and the architectural magnificence they provide.”

As Days of the Year observes: “The construction of tall buildings has become so commonplace in cities around the globe that the general public gives little thought to the visionaries responsible for creating a city’s unique skyline.

“Skyscraper Day takes place every September 3rd, because that is Louis H. Sullivan’s birthday (in 1856), the architect credited with the first such tall structures,” explains Calendar Holidays. “Because of Sullivan’s remarkable accomplishments in design and construction at such a critical point in architectural history {rebuilding the city in the 1880s after the Great Chicago Fire}, he has often been described as ‘The Father of the American Skyscraper.’”

“What is the chief characteristic of the tall office building?” Sullivan—the mentor to legend Frank Lloyd Wright—wrote in 1896. “It is lofty. It must be tall. The force and power of altitude must be in it, the glory and pride of exaltation must be in it.” So it was for the iconic Empire State Building in New York City (below left)—by far the tallest structure in the world when completed in 1931—but now only # 32 in the world … and barely half as tall as # 1, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (below right), standing 2,722 feet high compared to the Empire State Building’s 1,454.

And to hear Sullivan tell it, both are powerful phallic symbols: “It must be every inch a proud and soaring thing,” the acclaimed architect announced, “rising in sheer exaltation that from bottom to top it is a unit without a single dissenting line.”

Aroused by its ascendancy, a comely housewife climbed to the roof of her building to view the recently completed Empire State Building and, overcome by its rising rigidity, doffed her top for her husband!

When its Observation Deck was completed in the early 1940s, it became a Manhattan mecca for maidens and their men … though the gusty wind at such heights produced some views that distracted from the skyline!

And speaking of distracting from the skyline, the ultimate misdirection occurred on Friday, August 9, 2013 when, as reported by the Huffington Post: “A model climbed to the crowded Observation Deck in the pouring rain and took her topoff as 30-year-old photographer Allen Henson captured the image on his cell phone.”

“The photo quickly went viral on the Internet and angered the owners of the Empire State Building (ESB), one of the most popular tourist attractions in New York City {4 million visitors a year}, who said the area was full of tourists, including children, at the time the photo was taken.” Nearly all news outlets, however, had to cover the model’s chest for modesty.

Modesty forbids Sleuth from trumpeting that he was able about to obtain the uncensored version of the event!

“I had a model friend in from Texas and we went up there and I thought it would be interesting,” explained Henson, an Iraq War veteran.

“Nobody seemed to mind,” the photog felt. “The girl has a wonderful pair of breasts but, to be honest, if you’ve seen the view up there it’s pretty breathtaking and I don’t think anybody noticed.”

Sleuth noticed … and was able to trace that ‘wonderful pair of breasts’ to a Houston fashion and glamour model named Shelby Carter—com•pair below.

His hunch was con•firmed nearly 5 months later … when Ms. Carter posted the image on her Twitter account with the simple caption: “The photo.”

Sleuth also discovered that 34D-25-35 Shelby often poses—for her more explicit gigs—under the name of Elizabeth Marxs … witness her profile at Ideal Image Models:

Despite her all natural build, the owners of the Empire State Building were not impressed … and filed a $1.1 million lawsuit against photographer Henson—claiming he had “caused damage to its business and reputation as a safe and secure environment. When he and Carter went to the Deck,” ESB lawyer David Tannenbaum told the court, “it was crowded with visitors, including children and staff had to divert their time to deal with the potentially dangerous situation.”

“Breasts are dangerous?” Henson replied to the New York Daily News. “I’ll take the publicity but it’s hard to take this seriously.” In truth, hers look like they could do some serious D•amage!

“I don’t think anybody felt threatened by Ms. Carter’s breasts,” the defendant pleaded. “I’d understand if they said, ‘Mr. Henson, please don’t come back here anymore.’ But they didn’t even seem to notice us.” Despite the pouring rain fogging every lens, Shelby wasn’t easy to miss.

Yet easy to dismiss … since, as Socially Engineered.com reported, “Texan model Shelby Carter, who Henson describes as a friend, is thankfully not being sued.”

Actually, she was a bit more than that—as evidenced by these intimate bedroom snaps from Houston found on the lusty lensman’s cell phone:

“To be honest,” Henson admitted when confronted with the evidence, “Shelby ‘Elizabeth’ and I dated for a long time. We started in Texas and moved out to L.A. She’s been one of my biggest muses. We see each other often, and over the years we’ve accumulated a pretty substantial treasure trove of content. Some pretty hardcore content.”

“I have no idea what to do with it,” Henson shrugs … but Sleuth has a few ideas what to do with her!

And since he brought up “some pretty hardcore content,” yours truly can’t help but notice that Shelby has done some pretty intimate poses –with both sexes! {she's the 'bottom'}.

Listing her sexual preference as ‘Bisexual’ on the glamour site Babes.com, curious Carter claims: “I’m a dreamer and a hopeless romantic, but I’m a real go-getter too.” Or in this beach candid, a real go get•her! (Agent Carter at right.)

And get•him, too, since one woman wrote in to The Dirty to slam Shelby: “Slut. Slut. Slut. Fucked my boyfriend while we were dating and she knew about me. Talentless and no morals.” And included a ‘caught in the act’ pic to prove it.

“I go for guys who are passionate about the arts,” Carter confides. “Someone I can have a real conversation with. But in the bedroom, I need a man who can take charge.”

That would be her ‘Svengali’ Allen Henson … who settled the suit with the Empire State Building company in August 2015 by agreeing “to stay out of the Midtown landmark”—then declared: “We won. This is a victory for artists, a victory for women.” Chief among them being his wife Carlicia, who left the courthouse hand-in-hand with hubby after the deal was reached.

She had been one of his topless models for the art project that also involved Shelby, which Henson called ‘Boobs Around Town’ … before sealing the deal in a photo booth.

Now Carlicia hangs around the house topless (below left), but puts a chemise—sans bra—on for the outdoors.

Yet Mrs. Henson should know that Ms. Carter isn’t completely out of the picture. “Beauty is a soul, not just an appearance,” Shelby stated in her April 2012 modeling resume. “I want to be someone’s muse, I want to inspire greatness—that is my goal.”

And she scored with Henson a year before her Empire State of mind: “Houston model Shelby Carter did more than ignore the standard ‘no shirt, no shoes, no service’ policy of most restaurants,” reported CT News, “when she stripped at the Salon de Ning, a posh Manhattan dining spot on the rooftop terrace of the Peninsula Hotel {23 stories up}.”

According to the Daily Mail: “Carter—a model, artist, writer and fashion blogger—took off her clothes as part of photographer/videographer Allen Henson’s art project Filming Topless Models in Public Eating Places.”

Beginning demurely at the bar nursing a cocktail (above), Shelby suddenly unzipped her dress (below) while patrons hardly took notice.

A single woman took notice when she stood up with her drink in sexy black lingerie …

… before heading out to the terrace to remove her bra!

The Daily Mail described the scene thusly: “Henson took a model named Shelby Carter to a rooftop restaurant, where she posed topless as bewildered diners sat around her.” But even though she’d taken it outside to the dining area, they still had to bar her boobies.

Not so Sleuth … who offers this four course see•quence by way of entree.

In the words of another news outlet: “The person in charge called security and they the cops. They were invited to leave the building. The cops were kind of surprised to see a topless Shelby when they arrived on the scene!”

“That smile betrayed them. That and the cell phone one produced to snap a picture.” Her sentence was being forced to put her bra back on.
