Generation 56k (2021)

The Italian Netflix original series Generation 56k debuted on the streaming giant in the summer of 2021! Set both in the present day as well as the long ago year of 1998—the show's title takes its name from a popular modem at the time—the series charts the lives of four people who have been friends since they were pre-teens, Daniel (Angelo Spagnoletti), Luca (Gianluca Collucci), Sandro (Fabio Balsamo), and Ines (Claudia Tranchese). Most of the show's flashbacks chart the beginnings of their friendship and how the burgeoning internet in the late 90s was able to bring them closer together while also keeping them somewhat isolated. It has also allowed them to be great friends into the present, however, and though they don't see each other as often as they'd like, they manage to make their various relationships work by relying on the internet! The series' events kick off when Daniel meets a woman named Matilda (Cristina Cappelli) online and begins pursuing a digital relationship with her. When they finally meet in person, however, Daniel discovers that Matilda has completely misrepresented herself, leading him to question everything he's ever known about himself, his friends, and the internet! Will these crazy kids make it work in the internet age or is this the beginning of the end for Daniel's trust in his beloved internet? We're not sure because we only checked in on episode three, which is where the lovely Federica Pirone shows off her breasts while fooling around with her man in bed! One look at Federica's inverted nipples and you'll be swelling up to 56 centimeters!
