Today's foreign film for Foreign Film Friday is a real European treat. Russian Dolls takes us to through London, Paris, and St. Petersburg on a romp through Europe that feels like a sexy EU with several naked sexpots around the continent.
Russian Dolls is actually a sequel to the popular Euro-friendship movie L'auberge espagnole about different European students who live together in an apartment in Barcelona for a year of love, sex, and friendship in different languages. Five years later part of the gang reunites and ourleading man, Xavier (Romain Duris), feels like his life is disappointing. No good career, one night stands - eh, hang on. The one-night stands part sounds pretty good! It introduces us to some tasty topless tits!
He reunites with Kelly Reilly, a friend of his from the first film, to see if it brings him answers. Instead, it brings him bare breasts. It looks like he really rekindled their friendship.
His girlfriend in both films is played by Audrey Tautou who is playing a rare nasty character. She's always a lovable sexpot, but in both films, she's a demanding girlfriend who doesn't really go nude. We demand to see her breasts, but she keeps it classy with just a slip of her undergarments.
The hottest scene comes fromIrene Montalàwho runs naked away from our leading man in a long nude scene that brings her full-frontal Frenchness to the streets.
There's a lot of nudity to see which is also a pretty awesome European film stereotype come to life. If you like a comedy that takes you on a tour of Europe and its beautiful women, then this is the film for you.
