An Iranian emigre lets events back home affect her relationship in Flowers of Evil (2010). Anahita (Alice Belaïdi) is an Iranian woman in exile in Paris who is dating the free-spirited bohemian Gecko (Rachid Youcef). Bit rather than focus on her relationship with her boyfriend, Anahita is obsessed with following the tumultuous political events in her homeland on social media.
