Today's director for Female Filmmakers is a triple threat. She is an actress, a producer, and a director who has not only directed wonderful nudity - she has also been in them! She has gone nude a lot, so let's take a look at the amazing Sophia Takal.
Sophia was born and raised in New Jersey, but she longed to cross the tunnel and live in The Big Apple. So she did! She went to school at Columbia University where she studied film and immediately got involved in any facet of filmmaking that she could get her ambitious hands-on.
She began her career as an actress in 2009 when she appeared in the films Peter and Vandy and The Empress. It did not take long for her to act in a feature film that also showed off Takal's titties.
She played Gabi in Gabi on the Roof in July which she also edited. Wow! When she wasn't in the editing room slicing and splicing this film together, she was playing the titular Gabi and showing off her babbies. This is a pretty typical indie film that young New Yorkers make: young New Yorkers juggle life and love in a city that they can barely afford but won't leave. What does leave? Gabi's shirt!
After directing a short film in 2009, she decided to try her hand at a full-length feature. She directed Green in 2011 in which she also played Robin while Kate Lyn Sheil played Genevieve. The movie follows a couple from New York who moves upstate so that that they can get involved in urban farming. Thus the title!
While they are there, Genevieve starts to feel neglected. She meets Robin and confides in her. The two become companions, but then her boyfriend also takes a liking to Robin. Now the couple fights over this woman and jealousy abound on all sides.
One of her hottest forays into nudity is in the film Molly's Theory of Relativity in 2013. She took a break from directing to get pounded by a lucky man in four sex scenes. She shows us everything from her bush to her buns and breasts, but by this film that should come as no surprise. There's even a REAL sex scene that you can check out here:
Sophia then continued to act and direct. She starred as Stephanie in a segment in V/H/S that she also directed. Before the horror begins, we watch Sophia make out with her girlfriend in her bra.
Her finest film is Always Shine in 2016 Mackenzie Davis starred. This was her first feature film in which she did not also star. At all! Instead, Mackenzie stars in this thriller about two women who travel to Big Sur from Los Angeles for a long weekend vacation. They can't wait to reconnect, but life has other plans. Sophia clearly likes centering her stories around couples with complications. No matter the gender makeup of the couples, jealousy and distance seem to be a problem with a lot of her characters.
Directing her own film that she did not star in opened doors for Sophia. She directed the 2019 remake of Black Christmas and then moved on to director a few episodes of One of Us is Lying as well as the Hulu original TV film Into the Dark: New Year, New You in 2018. It turns out that she's great at directing!
What's next for the big director and actress? We are not sure yet! I personally hope that she makes a return to acting and to nudity, but I won't be mad if she directs some more super sexy scenes for us to enjoy.
