Today's Female Filmmaker series is about an A-list starlet who went from superstar to a respected director. She does both, but she has been leaning into directing moving dramas and some of her moving dramas contain nudity. Let's talk about the one and only Angelina Jolie!
Angelina Jolie grew up in Hollywood as the daughter of actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand. Her mother was not as famous as some of the other mothers in Los Angeles, so Angelina always felt like an outcast at Beverly Hills High School where her peers appeared even more affluent than her (how???). This showed her disparities at a very early age which is something that would eventually propel her into filmmaking.
Before she decided to make movies with a message, she had to show off her hot bod first. She has an interesting past in which she always feels like a punk at heart. She even wanted to be a funeral director when she was a teenager, but it was much easier for the child of actors in Hollywood to simply slip and fall and become an actress.
She began her career in music videos before she began appearing in feature films in the early 90s with debut roles in Cyborgs 2 and Hackers, going topless in both.
Her pillowy lips, big breasts, and fit figure brought men and women to their knees - as well as everyone in between. She was shocking, sexy, talented, and everything in between! Critical acclaim came after she starred in the award-winning film Gia and the film Girl, Interrupted which earned Jolie an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She made it!
Angelina Jolie went from trying to shock people on the red carpet with antics like kissing her biological brother and wearing vials of Billy Bob Thornton's blood (remember that couple?) to becoming an activist and an ambassador. Angelina really cares about saving the world and that is partially what inspired her to make her move towards directing. She wanted to direct films with a message!
Her directorial debut was made in 2011 with a surprising film. She got behind the camera to direct In the Land of Blood and Honey which focused on war between Bosnia and Serbia. Zana Marjanovic plays Ajla, a Muslim artist who gets involved with a Serbian military officer. The two try and keep their romance alive while the country goes to war. That shouldn't be too hard considering Zana's large breasts are amazing to ogle!
Zana has very large, dark nipples that really draw the eyes to her breasts. Her suck sacks are sweet as honey!
In 2015, she co-starred with her then-husband Brad Pitt in a tense romantic drama called By the Sea. She also directed herself and her husband.
The plot feels like an autobiography once you consider that their marriage shortly dissolved. The pair play a dancer and a writer taking a vacation in a small French town by the sea in the mid-1970s. It feels like a last-ditch effort to save their failing marriage (again...is this autobiographical? Angie, what was happening?). As time goes on, they rekindle some romance and mostly rekindle their individual lusts for life.
Angelina gets help from her neighbor in the movie, played by French actress Melanie Laurent. She spies on Melanie as she has hot sex with her neighbor, showing us Mel's perky nips.
This film was panned by critics and it is notable for being one of the few recent films that she has directed which does not contain some kind of global message. It appears to just be inspired by how difficult their marriage may have been. But, hey, who am I to judge? The nudity in the movie was worth watching.
She is currently directing a film titled Without Blood that is starring Salma Hayek. The plot is being kept under wraps, but so far it is supposed to be a war drama. I have no doubt that it will be a serious film with a serious message and some serious acting. That's Angelina's style now!
