Just in time for fall and all things Halloween, Cassandra Peterson - aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark - has made headlines. Yesterday, she revealed in an interview that she has been keeping her romantic life private for nearly 20 years. She dropped the bombshell that Cassandra has been with her partner for 19 years. The kicker? Her partner is a woman!
That's right! Elvira is a lesbian! What amazingly hot news, although it might be disappointing to any men out there who thought they had a chance. I feel for you, fellas, I do. Elvira is a dream woman for any man with a dark side. Well, now the Mistress of the Dark has a female mistress of her own.
Cassandra met her partner at Gold's Gym in Hollywood. Her now partner, T, became her trainer and it did not take long for the two of them to start "hanging out" together. They were friends first and after both of them split from their longtime partners, they decided to live together for some, um, emotional support. We can all see where this is going!
She said that one night after a date at the movies, she had the sudden urge to kiss T. She had no idea why! Imagine getting a kiss from Elvira like that. Who could refuse?! Cassandra had never thought she was interested in women before, but T was stirring up new feelings in her black heart. According to Elvira, they wound up connecting sexually on a level that she never had before.

Why are we only finding this out now? Well, Elvira has a new memoir out now. Also, they thought that they should keep their coupledom a secret to protect Elvira's brand. T has been working as Cassandra's assistant for several years now, so the two of them have turned Elvira into their own business venture. After a long time, she has decided to be open with herself. Haters are gonna hate, of course, but her true fans (me!) will love and support her no matter what. We might even think Elvira is hotter than ever now!
I'm happy that she is happy and she writes in her new book that she has never been happier. So here's to Elvira and T! Since it is nearly Halloween season, it's the perfect time to watch Cassandra's best work like Elvira Mistress of the Dark and Elvira's Haunted Hills.
