Deb continues to work on the Trinity case on her own time despite being officially removed from it. As she studies gunshot evidence from her and Lundy’s wounds, she discovers the shooter would have to be much shorter than Trinity. Trinity may not have been the one who fired the shots.

Dexter uses Lundy’s research to find the site of Trinity’s final murder and sees him take out his third victim, a father with two kids. He follows him home and is shocked to discover that Trinity has a family. He seems to be balancing a happy family with his serial killer urges and making it work, the formula that is eluding Dexter.

The water’s not the only thing spraying!

Dexter meets his mother’s killer, Santos Jimenez (Tony Amendola), at the bar he owns. Dexter loses control and almost kills him on the spot, which would break his rules and leave much more evidence than his normal clean kill room setup. Lila talks him down from the murder by calling him.
